Nehemiah 13, Revelation 22, Proverbs 31:21-31
Revelation 22:3-5 (ESV)
“No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne
of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They
will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be
no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their
light, and they will reign forever and ever.”
In Revelation 22:3–5, John sees a vision of heaven that will
be the ultimate fulfillment for believers. The removal of the curse that
entered the world through Adam and Eve’s disobedience means that all suffering
and sin will be gone. Believers will see the throne of Father-God and Jesus
Christ and will worship Him in His presence. There will be no more darkness,
either physically or spiritually. Father-God Himself will be the source of
light, and His people will reign with Him forever.
I felt these verses were an appropriate way to end a year of
reading the Bible in 365 days. As a Christian, I look forward to the day when I
will see Father-God in heaven. I do not see this as a reward in the
transactional sense, but as a joyful reunion with the One with whom I have been
in covenant relationship for so many years. I also look forward to eternal life
without suffering, living forever in the presence of the Lord.
Eternal life is stewarded when we trust in Father-God’s
faithfulness and place our confidence in the power and guidance of Jesus Christ
and the Holy Spirit.
If these verses resonate with you—if you feel compelled to
place your faith in Jesus Christ, the One who offers eternal life filled with
light and freedom from suffering—this could be your moment. Open your heart to
Him. Speak to Him in the following prayer and express your trust in Him. Share
your desire to walk with Him and welcome His presence into your life. God is
faithful and ready to meet you wherever you are.
Heavenly Father, I give You my life. Please forgive me for
all my sins and wash me clean through the blood of Jesus. I believe in my heart
that You raised Jesus from the dead, and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is
my Lord and Savior. Right now, I receive Your forgiveness and the gift of
salvation. Thank You, Lord—I am saved, I am forgiven, I am clean, and I am made
new in Jesus’ name. Amen.
If you prayed this prayer, welcome to the family of
