1 Samuel 26-28, John 19: 1-27, Psalm 88: 1-9
1 Samuel 26: 10 (ESV)
“And David said, “As the LORD lives, the LORD will strike
him, or his day will come to die, or he will go down into battle and perish.”
In verse 10 from 1 Samue 26, David shows us not to take
personal vengeance on people. David had a chance to kill Saul, but he had total
faith in Father-God and his plans for the world. David had total reliance on
Father-God, and his belief in the sovereignty of Father-God. David said
Father-God will deal with Saul in his own time and way, and that he had trust
in righteousness of God’s judgement. If we are follower of Jesus, we need to
trust Father-God’s timing and justice in our lives. We need to leave justice to
God, and focus only on the things that Father-God wants us do in our lives.
