Amos 8 & 9, Romans 5: 12-21, Psalm 112
Psalm 112: 7-8 (ESV)
“He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting
in the Lord. His heart is steady; he will not be afraid, until he looks in
triumph on his adversaries.”
I love verses 7 through 8 from Psalm 112. The psalmist tells
us about the blessings of having faith in Father-God. When you are saved by
Jesus Christ, you will not be afraid of bad news because you have trust in Father-God’s
faithfulness and power over all circumstances. Even in the more dire circumstances
you will not be anxious but instead have peace. And when you are attacked by
physical and spiritual enemies, you have an unfailing trust in Father-God that
you will receive guidance from the Holy Spirit to overcome your enemies. You
know you will triumph and not experience fear in your heart. I think these are
great verses to write down and read when you receive bad news or find out you
have enemies to remind yourself of the blessings that are yours when you are
saved and faith in Jesus Christ.
If you enjoyed reading my thoughts on these Bible verses and
you want to experience the blessings that belong to you through faith in Jesus
Christ, please pray this prayer out loud:
Heavenly Father, I want to give you my Life. Forgive me of
all of my sins. Wash me in your blood. I believe in my heart You raised Jesus
from the dead. I confess with my mouth Jesus is my Lord and Savior. Right now,
I receive forgiveness by the blood of Jesus. I am saved, I am forgiven, I am
clean in Jesus’ name, Amen.
If you prayed that prayer, welcome to the family of
Father-God! Do yourself a favor and find and join a Holy Spirit filled, full
Gospel, Bible-based church where you can hear the words of Father-God preached
and experience signs, wonders, and miracles in your life.
