2 Chronicles 2-4, 1 Corinthians 9: 19-27, 1 Corinthians 10, Psalm 119: 137-144
1 Corinthians 10: 31-33 (ESV)
“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to
the glory of God. Give no offense to Jews or to Greeks or to the church of God,
just as I try to please everyone in everything I do, not seeking my own
advantage, but that of many, that they may be saved.”
In verses 31 through 33 from 1 Corinthians 10, Paul tells the
church of Corinth that everything they do should be to honor Father-God. Paul
tells us even ordinary things like eating and drinking can be an opportunity to
honor Father-God. The purpose for our actions should be to honor and glorify
Father-God. Our way of living needs to be a testimony to our faith in
Father-God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Paul then tells us to live in a
way that does not cause obstacles for other believers or cause them to stumble
in their faith. Our behavior towards other people need to reflect Christ’s love
for people. I love that Paul models for us that our lives should always be in
service to leading other people to Christ. Even if we aren’t in a paid ministry
job, we can always teach people around us about how much Father-God loves them,
the gospels of Jesus Christ, and the role the Holy Spirit plays in a person’s
life. I love that I can lead other people to know how much Father-God loves
them, so they won’t spend their lives the way I did thinking they were unloved
by the Lord.
If you enjoyed reading my thoughts on these Bible verses,
and you want to have your life to be a ministry to lead others faith in Jesus
Christ, please pray this prayer out loud:
Heavenly Father, I want to give you my Life. Forgive me of
all of my sins. Wash me in your blood. I believe in my heart You raised Jesus
from the dead. I confess with my mouth Jesus is my Lord and Savior. Right now,
I receive forgiveness by the blood of Jesus. I am saved, I am forgiven, I am
clean, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
If you prayed that prayer, welcome to the family of
Father-God! Do yourself a favor and find and join a Holy Spirit filled, full
Gospel, Bible-based church where you can hear the words of Father-God preached
and experience signs, wonders, and miracles in your life.
