Have you ever seen one of those speeded-up films showing a flower opening? Such movement is taking place all around us. We fool ourselves into thinking that our situations are static. We imagine nothing will ever alter. For good or for bad, we have got what we have got, or so we figure. Thus, change, even the inevitable, takes us by surprise.
